Per new allegations from a informant, Ghislaine Maxwell, now completing a two-decade sentence for trafficking offenses, is allegedly readying a commutation application for consideration by the Trump administration.

Special Treatment Claimed at Federal Prison

Congressional Democrats on the judicial oversight panel announced that a source provided information indicating the inmate is working on the clemency petition. Additionally, they mentioned she has been receiving special treatment at the federal prison camp in the Lone Star State.

Congressman Jamie Raskin, the top Democrat on the House judiciary committee, declared in a official statement that the facility's chief was assisting the convict with copying, printing, and sending documents to aid her effort for clemency.

Specific details of the “commutation application” remain unknown, Raskin added.

Claimed Perks and Custom Arrangements

Raskin states that, per the insider, the prisoner has been given specially prepared food that are hand-delivered to her living area, and the supervisor has individually organized private meetings for Maxwell and her guests.

These meetings reportedly involve a designated private space for attendees and a variety of food and drinks for her guests.

Maxwell’s visitors were also reportedly permitted to carry electronic devices, which Raskin described as an “unprecedented action” given the security risk and chance of unmonitored communications.

In one alleged instance, when phone lines went down for other prisoners, Maxwell was given specific instructions about who she should tell her associates to contact and how staff would connect the communication to her.

Supervisor Acting as Assistant

The source also allegedly told congressional members that when Maxwell wanted to review and edit documents “quickly”, she reportedly employed the official as her private aide.

The statement states that Maxwell’s correspondents would email documents directly to the supervisor, who would hand them over to Maxwell, who would review and edit them and return them to the official to digitize and send to the original sender.

Extra Benefits Reported

Other privileges allegedly granted to Maxwell include opportunities to interact with a service dog puppy – a benefit not “ordinarily allowed” – as well as exclusive nighttime use to the facility's gym.

Maxwell’s attorney did not immediately respond to a inquiry regarding the insider's allegations.

Through a spokesperson, the presidential office said that it “will not discuss” on potential clemency requests.

“As President Trump has stated, granting clemency to Ghislaine Maxwell is not something he has thought about,” the spokesperson noted.

Context and Developments

Recently, it was reported that she told close associates in electronic messages that she was “much happier” at the Texas facility than her former location.

In August, Maxwell was moved from a secure facility in Florida's capital to the less restrictive prison in the state, where most inmates are serving time for non-violent offenses and white-collar crimes.

Through the statement, Raskin also revealed that he had dispatched a communication to Trump, requesting explanations about the whistleblower’s allegations, and urged the president to reject Maxwell’s commutation request.

“You should not grant any form of clemency to this adjudicated and remorseless sex offender,” the representative stated in the document. “The government must not offer her with room service, with puppies to play with, with government agents waiting on her every need, or with any preferential handling or institutional privilege at all.”

The congressman asked that Blanche attend a public congressional hearing to discuss the revelations and also presented several inquiries to Trump.

He inquired whether he had talked about a possible clemency for the convict with the official or others, whether he had instructed Blanche or anyone else to provide Maxwell with the transfer or favorable and preferential treatment in detention, and whether she, her attorneys, relatives or agents have made any commitments to Trump or his attorneys.
