It's a challenge for Australia to set fresh records.

The top summits have already been conquered.

This is the squad that has won seven Cricket World Cups, along with another six T20 titles, and once went 1,294 days undefeated in 50-over cricket.

The secondary achievements, targeted by the peak baggers, are all that remain for a side that has won it all.

It needed up to Sunday's victory by three wickets over India for them to complete their first ODI chase above 300, taking back their record for the largest in the female 50-over format, is, honestly, a tribute to the pitchers that have worn canary yellow over five decades.

It's challenging for their batsmen to maintain a record if not afforded the possibility.

Finally, the result of Australia allowing 330 runs was captain Alyssa Healy receiving a chance to produce her newest gem.

Then best known as the 19-year-old niece of renowned former Aussie wicketkeeper Ian, she made her debut in 2010 after her nation couldn't capture either of the T20 or ODI World Cups held the previous year and has seen it all through 15 trophy-laden years since.

A T20 World Cup win arrived three months after her first appearance and seven international trophies have resulted from 10 efforts across formats.

The determined wicketkeeper was in attendance in Derby in 2017 when a semi-final defeat by India momentarily interrupted the run of success.

That loss "drove us to reconsider our benchmarks," Healy said this week.

At the next 50-over World Cup in New Zealand, Healy hit 170 against England in the title decider and was declared player of the series. She ensured her country would not fail again.

If this latest epic knock surpassed that earlier display can be debated.

Certain people claim the argument supporting the pressure of a final. Different voices suggest with the challenge that comes when facing a record target and a raucous India-supporting crowd of 20,000.

What's definite is this ton was far harder to predict.

The Christchurch destruction in 2022 came as she topped the run-scoring charts, but this knock was preceded by six games in India since the start of last month in which she had been unable to reach 30.

"If you've been watching me in the nets, it has been a challenging time because I feel like I lacked timing at all," said Healy.

"However when you enter the playing area, your fighting spirit kick in and you just lock into the competition."

Healy's competitiveness has consistently been her great strength - and an invaluable trait in replacing legendary former captain Meg Lanning.

She was tormented by India's emerging talent Kranti Gaud in recent ODI series, fallen to the emerging pace bowler in each encounter, but here that only provided Healy's motivation.

A single came off the opening delivery and from there Healy was underway.

"The possibility to play and face the challenge with her and merely enjoy the moment in that aspect, sort of got me going," stated Healy.

She achieved fifty in 35 deliveries - her fastest at the World Cup - and her hundred in 84 as she attacked short-pitched balls, scoring 21 fours and three maximums.

Once she was removed the team needed 66 additional runs at one run per ball - an unconquered height now requiring a leisurely stroll.

"To chase 330 is new territory so I'm pleased we have the belief to accomplish that now," added Healy.

"Hopefully we don't have to do it again but, if necessary, we are confident we can succeed."

That comment will be the ultimate thing Australia's opponents at this tournament need to hear.

During the last week a sense they will win from any position has only strengthened - this victory coming after win against Pakistan by 107-run victory despite struggling at 76-7 at one stage.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before a meeting with traditional opponents England in Indore in 10 days, by which point a semi-final berth may likely be confirmed.

During that phase they exited the prior year's T20 World Cup in an unexpected loss by South Africa - an encounter Healy couldn't play because of damaged tissue in her foot as she guided Australia for the inaugural occasion at a significant event.

Such is her determination, she subsequently stated she wished she had played despite the injury.

But while she subsequently acknowledged those fitness problems have pushed back consideration of ending her career, this tournament is expected to be her final tournament as skipper in one-day cricket and she is still to achieve a global event as captain.

Victory in India would lead her to the peak of her final mountain.
